A forest of columns

This was taken inside the Sagrada Familia. I fell in love with the inside of this building and I will surely visit it again while I'm here in Barcelona because there are no words to describe its beauty and photos don't really do it justice. Also, it is wonderfully designed: Gaudí drew inspiration from nature to make a stable temple that would rise almost as high as the nearest mountain (but not more than that, because he strongly believed that mankind's work shouldn't be greater than God's). This inspiration is evident on the inside of the temple: the columns have "branches" like trees in order to better distribute the weight of the high ceilings, which have a lot of windows to let light in. The result is a huge temple like no other I've ever seen, and trust me, I've seen a lot (I'm not religious but I love ecclesiastic architecture xD).
